Here at runr, we want the brand to be inclusive, not exclusive, and that's why we wanted to use 'real runners' in our latest photo shoot to showcase our products.
We wanted to find passionate runners from local clubs who take pride in their achievements and who share the same values as any other runner that you might bump into on the street.
We're pleased to introduce Kerry, the first of our three Real Runners and we put some questions to her:
Name:
Kerry Brown
Which running club are you a member of?
Fareham Crusaders
How long have you been a member at Fareham Crusaders?
4 years. I didn’t take up running until my 30’s…
How long have you been running?
4 years (I joined the club one week after running one mile around the block)
What do you love about running?
There is too much to mention! I love the socialising with people with the same mindset. I love pushing my body to limits that I never thought possible, I love being outside in the fresh air and finding new trails on my doorstep.
What’s been your favourite race to date and why?
Road Running, it definitely has to be The London Marathon – it is one massive street party for 26.2 miles!
My Favourite trail is the Brutal runs (this was my first ever race, one month after running – I don’t do things by half) – I love the trails, being covered in mud and exploring the views.
How long have you been LiRF (Leadership in Running Fitness) qualified?
I have been qualified for 2 years now
Why did you want to qualify?
I was approached by the club and was delighted. I really wanted to throw my passion for running into leading and put some fun elements into leading a running group. Its important to enjoy running, life is tough enough.
How does it feel using the qualification?
I really enjoy seeing new runners turn up at club and progressing in ability and confidence.
What one word would you use to sum up your running?
Dedicated
Tell us more:
I was lucky enough to be chosen as April 2016’s cover girl for Women’s Running. I have my own blog – ukrungirl.com and I try to write about warts and all and not just the best bits of running! When I’m not running, you will find me in the sea – either surfing or stand up paddling. My next challenge is the London Marathon 2019, I am looking forward to developing a new mind set to the training this time around!

We want to say a huge thank you to Kerry for being a part of our little team for the photo shoot and it was a blast to have you involved!
Happy running!
