Redway Runners were just one of the clubs who got involved in the running their own Food Bank Run, so we reached out to find out a bit more about why they got involved:
Why did you want to get involved with your own food bank run?
Which food bank did you support?
It was a lot! It took five cars to take it over to the food bank and there were over 1,000 items
Had you taken part in a food bank run before this year?
No, this was our first.
How did it feel completing the food bank run?
The club felt good and some of our publicity made it to BBC on-line news
What was the feed back from the runners who took part?
All good and liked to help, but we did not put pressure on to donate.
We will certainly do it next year in February, but do not want to do too often, at moment we are looking at a Litter pick month in the club.
